Birkenhead YMCA Wins Award
Birkenhead YMCA has won the highly prestigious Lady Mayhew Trophy. This is a really great award and recognition goes to the residents who put in many hours of work study on the How Hill Nature Reserve and with the Norfolk Wherry Trust on-board the 112 year old "Albion".
The award also recognises the contribution made by staff who gave up their time to ensure that the visit to the Norfolk Broads could take place.
Nigel Hughes, Birkenhead Chief Executive states "I feel incredibly proud that we made it onto the shortlist of the final top six national organisations let alone won!"

Staff Away Day

On Thursday 16th April the entire Birkenhead YMCA staff team attended the first Staff Away Day.
The event held at the superb new Floral Pavilion in New Brighton on Wirral, gave staff the opportunity to take part in future planning of the direction and vision of the BYMCA and participate in reviewing the previous years of work in the organisation, consider core activities and complete in-depth SWOT analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
Everyone enjoyed the event and it is hoped that this will form part of the organisation's new annual business review processes.
